    Description

    ESL Champion

    Attack Poverty | Friends of North Richmond is seeking volunteer ESL Champions. As an ESL Champion, you will play a vital role in supporting adult learners in their English language acquisition journey by attending ESL classes, assisting students during ESL activities, and providing encouragement and support to foster their language process.     Desired qualifications:

    * Proficiency in English, with clear and effective communication skills.

    * Passionate about supporting adult learners in their language learning journey.

    * Empathetic, patient, and encouraging demeanor.

    * Ability to engage and interact positively with diverse groups of students.

    * Reliable and committed to attending ESL classes regularly.

    * Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the ESL teacher.

    * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    * Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is a plus but not required.
