    Description

    Description:

The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a nonpartisan coalition of foreign policy experts and young professionals dedicated to revitalizing American leadership through strategic investments in development. We believe that effective foreign aid strengthens national security, prevents pandemics from reaching our shores, and boosts the U.S. economy. We are currently seeking volunteer Communications volunteers to support our external communications strategy. Volunteers will help draft and distribute articles, press releases, and public endorsements, while also assisting in building and maintaining media lists and relationships with reporters.

    Responsibilities:

Volunteers will draft and edit written materials, including press releases, blog articles, and official statements. They will support the distribution of these materials to media outlets, both local and regional, and track resulting media coverage. Volunteers will also help maintain journalist contact lists and update media databases as needed. Additional support may include assisting the Communications Team with daily writing tasks and internal content reviews.

    Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have experience in journalism, writing, or media relations, and possess strong, clear writing skills. Familiarity with media databases or journalist outreach tools is a plus. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of following through on multiple assignments.

This is a volunteer, fully remote position, with optional in-person opportunities in Washington, DC.
