    Description

Hike for a Cause - Volunteer Leader for "Do What You Love to End ALZ"

Love the outdoors? Let every step you take help end Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking passionate hikers to serve as Volunteer Leaders for Do What You Love to End ALZ(tm), our signature fundraising campaign that empowers people to turn their passions into purpose.

As a Hiking Volunteer Leader, you’ll recruit fellow hikers, organize fundraising hikes, and coach participants to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Whether you’re part of a hiking club, lead group treks, or just love the trail, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the activity you already enjoy.

    Your Role Will Include:

    • Recruiting hikers, clubs, and outdoor groups to start fundraising hikes

    • Coaching participants on how to plan, promote, and fundraise for their events

    • Hosting recruitment hikes or info sessions to engage new supporters

    • Connecting with local outfitters, gear shops, and outdoor brands for partnerships

    • Tabling at outdoor events, giving presentations, and attending community meetups

    • Sending follow-ups, writing thank-you notes, and celebrating fundraising milestones

    • Representing the Alzheimer’s Association mission with passion and purpose

We’ll provide all the training and tools you need-you bring your love for hiking and your drive to make a difference.

Let’s blaze new trails to end Alzheimer’s.
