    Description

Are you someone who finds joy in meaningful connections and creative expression?

Join us in supporting a remarkable resident at Heritage House who is living with vascular dementia, anxiety, and depression. She is a talented artist who once sold her paintings and still finds peace in drawing, coloring, and painting. She would love to share gentle walks in the neighborhood and quiet moments of creativity with a compassionate volunteer.

    About the Participant:

    • Former professional artist with a deep love for painting and visual arts
    • Enjoys coloring, drawing, and creative expression
    • Experiences occasional agitation and anxiety, but responds well to calm, empathetic companionship
    • I would benefit greatly from regular walks and gentle conversation

    Volunteer Role:

    • Offer companionship during short walks in the neighborhood
    • Engage in light art activities like coloring or painting together
    • Provide a calm, reassuring presence and listen with empathy
    • No clinical experience required-just kindness, patience, and a love for art and people

    Time Commitment:

Flexible-ideally 1-2 hours per week, depending on your availability
