Join us for an inspiring evening at the Friendship Place Honors Gala, the region’s premier event honoring community members working to end homelessness. Volunteers will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, assist with event operations, and support our mission to rebuild lives.

This year’s Gala will be held at the French Embassy in Washington, DC, offering a stunning backdrop of sweeping gardens and priceless artwork. Proceeds from the Gala directly support Friendship Place programs that help our neighbors in need.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

• Greeting and checking in guests

• Assisting with the silent auction

• Guiding attendees and providing directions

• Helping with event setup and breakdown

-Thursday, September 18, 2025

-VIP Reception: 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM

-General Reception: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

-Main Event: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Volunteer Arrival Evet Date & Times:

-Volunteers can arrive as early as 4PM and stay as long as your able to

Security Requirements:

This event takes place at the French Embassy. All volunteers must pass through a security screening before entering the compound. A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) is required for entry. Please allow extra time for this process.

Attire:

Cocktail or business attire (professional presentation is important).
