Decorate Our Senior Center - Seasonal Decorating for the Yorkville Activity Center

Do you love creating warm and welcoming environments?

Yes! Then, decorate our Yorkville Senior Center by volunteering for our Yorkville Beecher Activity Senior Center at Senior Services Associates!

Volunteering for our center makes a real difference for seniors and the Activity Coordinator of the center.

Senior Services understands fostering and adorning a warm, welcoming environment felt whenever one walks into the center is always a goal priority. When nurturing pleasant surroundings, we will impact seniors' physical well-being and mental health. Volunteers will also leave an impact on our Activity Coordinator. Contributing time to do seasonal decorating frees up time for the coordinator to do other tasks. It enables her to coordinate the evidence base programs that will create an additional impact on seniors.

Volunteers in the Activity Center can also help with:

• Changing the bulletin boards
• Creating (or using already made) centerpieces and placing them on the tables
• Putting up and taking down various seasonal decorations throughout the building
• Putting away decorations into storage bins
• Dusting shelves and silk arrangements

An ideal volunteer would be creative and able to work independently with little supervision. Volunteers with organization and flower arranging skills, who can cut things out with scissors, are a plus.
