Volunteer Food Truck Driver - Bringing food to youth in the Lowell Community

Come and be part of the transformative volunteer program that spans across the Lowell community! Club Love on Wheels is an awesome initiative that allows us to bring FREE healthy snacks and meals to locations in our community that serve youth, i.e., schools, pools, parks, and more!

Position Overview:

Club Love on Wheels is a dynamic initiative that delivers FREE healthy snacks and meals to locations serving youth, such as schools, parks, pools, and other community spaces. We are seeking passionate, dedicated individuals who care deeply about nutrition, food insecurity, and supporting youth. You'll play a vital role in bringing nutritious food and positive energy to local youth while supporting our mission to combat food insecurity. You’ll work closely with Club Love on Wheels staff to ensure that children and families have access to healthy food, all while fostering a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute Snacks: Assist with the preparation and distribution of healthy snacks and meals to youth in various locations across the Lowell community.
• On-Site Support:
• Community Engagement: Engage with children and their families in a friendly, supportive manner, creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with Resources: Support the distribution of additional resources, such as program flyers or materials, to promote other available services and events for families.

Qualifications:

• A passion for nutrition, healthy eating, and combatting food insecurity.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to engage positively with youth, creating a fun and supportive environment.
• Valid Drivers License to operate van
