A Free Bird is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York City. We empower children diagnosed with cancer to explore their artistic passions—whether through music, art, writing, or performance. By supporting creativity, we help young people find strength and healing through self-expression.

Role Overview

The Business Enablement Associate plays a key role in improving organizational efficiency by supporting operations, streamlining workflows, and building resources that help teams work more effectively. This role blends day-to-day operational support with forward-looking strategies to enhance productivity across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dashboards for timekeeping, task tracking, and project management
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflows
• Support cross-functional teams with tools, templates, and resources
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to streamline communications, generate reports, and automate tasks
• Collaborate with department managers to align operations with organizational goals

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in operations, business support, or a related field (internships or volunteer work included)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Comfort with learning and applying AI tools to improve workflows
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
