    Description

    Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 131-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services, which significantly improve the lives of 17,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking volunteers to teach English as a Second Language classes. Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program offers high quality, interactive language instruction to a diverse student body. We seek to increase students' language skills, confidence in speaking and comprehension of English.

    Volunteers are needed to teach either a beginner level class on Tuesday and Thursday, 1:30-3:30, September 9 - November 13 or an advanced level class one hour per week (day/time tbd) September 15 - November 7.
