Description
A trip serving with DOVE makes a difference in the lives of children, while providing the opportunity to truly embrace and understand a new culture. Our mission has always remained the same--to provide opportunity and hope to at-risk children.
As a volunteer, you will experience the culture in a safe, positive environment while learning about the area and all that Puerto Plata offers. Every hug and smile from our children and their families will illustrate the Dominican happiness!
The children benefit by having people help improve their English skills while feeling the love you bring by volunteering. Strong mentors to learn from is important for every child.
Volunteers can offer specific skills they would like to teach or they can participate in the classes we are already offering. People can volunteer for a half day, full day, several days, or even come for longer if they would like to make arrangements with our volunteer coordinator. We offer services to help plan the perfect trip for individuals, families, or groups.
