Emmanuel Hospice is grateful to those who have served our country. We know that the memories of service last a lifetime and that the friendships and bonds between veterans are powerful. No one else can truly understand the sacrifice that has been made but those who sacrificed alongside you.
In hospice, we have the honor of thanking our veterans one last time before they pass on to the next life. Our patients love talking about their military experience and these memories seem to stay fresh in their mind long after other memories fade away. At Emmanuel Hospice veteran volunteers are paired with our veteran hospice patients so our patients can reminisce and talk about their experience with someone who truly understands. At the same time, touching inter generational friendships are made, new stories are shared, both parties learn from one another, and our patients can rest knowing their sacrifice is not forgotten.
Emmanuel Hospice is an interfaith, non-profit hospice. We are a close knit team and our staff, volunteers, and patients are like family to us. We serve patients all over West Michigan in private homes and in facilities.
