Want to experience the office environment in healthcare industry? This is perfect opportunity to dive deep into the office management experience of Hospice Care.
By joining our team, volunteers will gain meaningful experience working within a professional office environment. Volunteers can become involved with office tasks including, but not limited to: administrative operations, filing/organization, social interactions within our team and beyond!
The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team including a nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain, and volunteer, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.
Volunteers are essential members of the patient’s hospice care team. Volunteers are trained to listen, care, and provide companionship for our patients during this important time in their lives. Through careful screening and orientation, our volunteers understand the hospice philosophy to provide as much comfort and quality of life to our patients as possible. All of our volunteers are trained to provide companionship, but we are especially looking for volunteers who are willing to share their love and talent for social media with our patients and the entire Suncrest Community.
In the Bay Area, Suncrest Hospice serves families in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano counties and serves both patients in hospice facilities and in their own homes.
All Suncrest Hospice volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB and drug testing at no charge to you.
