Outreach-Feed6 is now partnering with the Chicago Wolves Ice Hockey Team in hosting our 8th annual HungerHeroes! event focused on Veterans in the Chicago area. 'HungerHeroes2025!’ is an extraordinary spirit-enriching celebration of giving and caring in which anyone of any age or background can participate and extend love to those in need. It’s a work of joy - with music, entertainment, and the opportunity to share a celebratory experience with friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, work associates, and community residents. Teams of 10 to 12 volunteers will staff production lines producing thousands of delicious, nutritious meals of pasta in tomato basil sauce - fortified with soy protein, nutrients, and vitamins - and bagged, labeled, weighed, heat-sealed, and boxed employing strictly observed safety and hygienic precautions. Throughout the experience, Feed6 supervises production flow and quality. Our meals will be distributed to food-insecure veterans and their families by our local partners - Project Hope and veterans organizations - through a network of food pantries throughout the Chicagoland region.
