    About Us

    We Are Phenomenal Women, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting women who have experienced domestic violence. Through advocacy, education, safe spaces, and community programs, we help survivors rebuild their confidence, create healthier futures, and reclaim their voices. We are looking for motivated and passionate interns to support our grant writing and fundraising efforts that fuel our mission and impact.

    Position Overview

    The Fundraising Intern will play a vital role in helping We Are Phenomenal Women secure funding and build strong donor relationships. This internship is ideal for students, recent graduates, or professionals seeking experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, and fundraising strategy.

    Instructions:

    Responsibilities

    • Research and identify grantmakers, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic opportunities.
    • Assist with building and maintaining a funding opportunities calendar.
    • Help prepare documents for grant and sponsorship proposals.
    • Track incoming donations, pledges, and grant funds.
    • Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting for funders.
    • Support the creation of donor acknowledgment letters and impact updates.
    • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new revenue-generating strategies.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential funding and donor databases.

    Qualifications

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent research and organizational abilities.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising, development, or grant writing (preferred but not required).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Passionate about supporting survivors of domestic violence and advancing women’s empowerment.
