Position Title: TNP Academy of Dramatic Arts - Education Assistant

Classroom Assistant: Classroom assistants support the instructor with student supervision and, if applicable, provide instructional assistance. Responsibilities: Escorting students to different classrooms, stages, and restrooms; and assisting with supervision during class. Additional duties vary depending on the needs of the class and the background and interests of the classroom assistant. Tasks may include retrieving water for students, reviewing lines with students, teaching songs or dance steps, or leading theatre games. Qualifications/Expectations: The classroom assistant should be attentive during class and cultivate an environment of positivity. Experience as an educator or in the classroom is a plus.

Dressing/Green Room Monitor: Monitors and supervises children in a theatrical production for rehearsals and performances. Responsibilities: The care and supervision of children in a production; keeping an ear out for cues and announcements; looking out for the well being of the children and helping to maintain appropriate conduct and behavior when the child actor is off stage. Qualifications/Expectations: It is important to know and understand the show as well as the child actor. Must have experience working with children.

Front Desk Monitor: Supports the TNP Academy of Dramatic Arts during student drop off and pick up. Responsibilities: Check students in at the start of the school day, and/or out at the end of school day. Keeps an eye on the education entrance and addresses questions when able. Qualifications/Expectations: Must have experience working with children.

Lunch Monitor: Supports the TNP Academy of Dramatic Arts and monitors and supervises children during lunch breaks. Responsibilities: The care and supervision of children in the Academy, keeping an ear out for cues and concerns; looking out for the well being of the children and helping to maintain appropriate conduct and behavior among the children. Qualifications/Expectations: Must have experience working with children.
