    Description

    Outreach Volunteer

Youth Assistance Coalition (YAC) is an established non-profit organization seeking volunteers for our street outreach team. Outreach teams meet in the evenings 2-3 times per week in various locations around downtown San Diego, Ocean Beach, and areas surrounding Balboa Park. The goals of our outreach are to engage with youth and families experiencing homelessness, develop positive relationships, provide education and resources, or deliver food/snack bags to meet basic needs.

YAC is rapidly growing and we welcome open-minded, trauma-sensitive, and empathetic individuals to join our cause. We will provide training and a supportive environment to help get you started. Please be advised that a background check will be required due to having direct contact with clients. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and we will be more than happy to provide assistance or visit our website at https://www.yacsd.org.
