Volunteer at Davis County Animal Services as a dog walker, providing exercise, fresh air, and human companionship for both dogs and cats. This helps keep the animals healthy and socialized, which in turn increases their adoptability. What a fantastic way to serve the animals while you get in your daily exercise!
Volunteers may also participate in Pet Adoption events which are held periodically throughout the county.
Volunteer hours and days are very flexible. Training is provided.
This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis County's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for seniors age 55 and above. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the volunteer station, as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving, and a recognition event that's held once a year to thank and honor our volunteers for their services through out the year!
We appreciate your interest in volunteering and we look forward to hearing from you! Please reach out to our RSVP staff to enroll!
