Legal Assistant (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer):

This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills and contribute to making a significant impact on individuals' lives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the legal team with legal research, writing and review legal documents

• Work cross-functionally with the finance team to support funding initiatives for Empowered Futures' mentorship program

• Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop effective legal strategies and solutions

• Provide support on various legal matters

• Attend weekly team meetings

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and obtaining a law degree from an accredited law school

• Practicing Lawyer is a plus

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Experience drafting commercial contracts, IT (Intellectual Property) agreements, SaaS Agreements, and documents related to privacy

• Practicing Lawyer is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong commitment to social justice and helping underserved communities

This is a part-time and unpaid volunteer position (5-8 hours a week)
