    [Volunteer Shifts] Community Compost Day LA

    Help the LA Compost team distribute compost to the local community for Community Compost Day LA at the Audubon Center in Debs Park!

    Held quarterly at locations across our network of Compost Hubs, Community Compost Day LA is an all-ages event that connects community members with valuable resources, such as compost, trees, native plants, seeds, and mulch, while promoting environmental education, soil stewardship, and deepening community engagement.

    TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

    Welcoming event attendees, compost and mulch distribution, sifting station, and supporting with loading materials to vehicles as needed. Please meet at 8:45 AM for volunteer station orientation. Thank you!

    MORE INFO:

    • You will be working outdoors!
    • This site has public bathrooms
    • If you sign up, we ask that you show up! We rely on volunteers, like you, to achieve our mission.
    • We’ll follow up with details via email, so be sure to provide your best contact email when signing up.
    • Light refreshments will be available on site, but please bring water, closed-toed shoes, and sun protection!
    • The Audubon Center is a Wildlife Sanctuary and NO dogs are allowed.
