    Foster to Adopt (FTA) Coordinator (Remote Volunteer Position)

    Dallas Pets Alive! is a highly respected animal rescue organization and provides the perfect place to utilize your skills to grow personally and professionally. Our mission is to promote and provide the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals in North Texas - and volunteers make our mission a reality.

    As the Foster to Adopt (FTA) Coordinator, you will be making a huge impact on this mission by connecting the adopter with the foster and medical team to ensure they are comfortable with taking over care of a foster animal.

    Team: Foster Team

    Location: Remote/Virtual: Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone.

    Time Commitment: 5-10 Hours a week

    Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. After one year of service, we issue a professional letter of recommendation from our Director of Volunteer Management and Human Resources, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation(s) as applicable.

    Reports to: Assistant Foster Director, Foster Director, VP of Animal Operations and the Executive Director.

    Works with: Will have regular and continuous contact virtually or over the phone with team leaders, foster parents, and other volunteers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Reaching out to the potential adopter and explaining the remaining medical needs

    • Sending the foster agreement to the potential adopter

    • Making sure the foster agreement is signed and loaded to our records system

    • Keep the medical team, adoption counselor, and foster team privy of information

    • Checking in on foster to adopt pets during the process

    Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications

    • Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!

    • Ability to operate a computer or mobile device

    • Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare.
