    Description

    Research & Engineering Associate: EPA
    • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
    • Associates are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
    • STW(tm) welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunities. STW(tm) shall provide a "letter of recommendation" to professionals who demonstrate outstanding contributions for professional references.

    SUMMARY:

    This role is required to work with leadership to conduct research about confined animals and their impact on water-related matters and work alongside government agencies to this end.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Research about confined animals and their impact on water-related matters.

    • Connect with government agencies to understand laws and regulations about confined animals.

    • Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients.

    • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

    • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per schedule.

    EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.

    • Bachelor’s degree completed or equivalent work experience (at least 3 years or more full-time paid corporate/non-profit work experience)

    • A graduate in Biological, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.

    • Experience in working with governmental agencies.

    • Good analytical skills and willingness to learn.

    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    • Focused attention to detail and critical thinking.
