C.H.O.I.C.E.: Consider How One Individual Changes Everything
Here at Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E. we are preparing for a great school year, pairing volunteer mentors with underserved students for post-secondary success! We are ready for the first step: YOU!
Each year, our nonprofit program gives volunteer mentors an opportunity to meet once a week for an hour with a hand-picked, at-risk high school junior or senior that would not otherwise have access to the guidance they need to make a future for themselves. Our mentors are provided with a complete online curriculum to lead students through college prep, researching a business, and preparing for senior year and beyond.
This year we will be working hand-in-hand with select Dallas ISD high schools and plan to return to in-person meetings with students as much as possible. We are reaching out to ask you to commit to a student for the school year, and reap the benefits of changing a young life, your community, and the world.
The average high school student receives less than 45 minutes of college counseling over four years. Fill the gap in their journey! Give the lasting gift of your own story and experience to a student eager for guidance and support that is not present in many young lives.
