    Pet Therapy

    Your certified dog is welcome to join the Hackensack Meridian Hospice Pet Therapy Program! Pet therapy sessions are casual interactions of specifically trained volunteer/animal teams with a patient for joy and comfort. Only dogs that have successfully completed a Certified Pet Therapy Dog Program are eligible. Emotional support and service dogs, though valuable, do not qualify for pet therapy in our program. (Contact us if you need information on how your dog can get certified.)

    Visits are based on your availability and within a reasonable distance. For more information, email Hospice.Volunteer@HMH.org.
