    Description

    Public Relations Coordinator - 90% Remote

    Rebuilding Together North Texas is seeking a creative and motivated Public Relations Coordinator to help amplify our mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. This key volunteer will collaborate with the board to develop and implement strategies that strengthen our connection to the community and promote the impactful work we do. This position is primarily remote but we do require that you be in the DFW area.

    Key Responsibilities

    Media Relations:

    * Draft press releases, media advisories, and other communications to share updates on our projects and events.

    * Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets to secure coverage of our initiatives.

    Content Creation:

    * Collaborate with team members to create compelling content for newsletters, blogs, and other outreach materials.

    * Help curate and manage content for social media platforms to engage and grow our audience. To include occassional photography and video creation.

    Promotional Campaigns:

    * Assist in developing campaigns to highlight fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, and community impact stories.

    * Ensure branding and messaging align with the organization’s mission and values.

    Board Collaboration:

    * Work closely with board members to align PR strategies with organizational goals.

    * Provide regular updates on PR initiatives and outcomes.

    Skills & Qualifications

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    * Experience in public relations, marketing, or communications is a plus.

    * Creativity and a keen eye for storytelling to effectively communicate the organization’s mission.

    * Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

    * Ability to build and nurture relationships with community members and media professionals.

    * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Time Commitment

    * 5-7 hours per week, with occasional increases around major events or campaigns.
