    Description

    Seeking Compassionate & Creative Volunteers

AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, creative volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether you knit, sew, sing, play an instrument, or enjoy doing crafts, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too!

AccentCare Hospice serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new creative volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Musically inclined volunteers can directly visit our patients to share their talents, assist with music at our annual memorial service, or perform at a facility event where our patients reside. Volunteers who enjoy crafting can visit our patients to work on individual craft projects together, assist with creative legacy projects, or participate in art activities with our patients in senior living communities. They can also share their gifts at our office, making decorations, bulletin boards, flyers, etc. Volunteers with a gift for sewing, knitting or crocheting can make blankets, memory bears or pillows, fidget blankets, or other handmade items for our patients and their loved ones. These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff.

Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as office volunteers or can buddy with another trained teen or adult to make in-person visits to patients in facilities.

We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your gifts with those at the end of life.

    • Group Size Range: 1 - 50+
    • Event can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g. office, park)
