If you are looking for an opportunity to provide some companionship and make a difference in people's lives, consider volunteering with us!
Companionship with a patient can look like any of the following:
- Sitting with and talking
- Reading books, poems or the Bible to them
- Walking with them
- Doing a puzzle together
- Playing Bingo together at a facility
- Doing a painting or craft together
- Scribing letters for the patient to family members
- Playing an instrument for them
- Listening to music together
- Watching a show together
Any time spent with them is greatly appreciated by patients and their family.
Patient companionship can also provide respite for caregivers, if they need a break to go run errands, get groceries or just have some alone time after caring for their loved one all day.
