    Description

Tell Stories That Uplift Survivors - Volunteer as Director of Communications (Remote)

    About Hope Survives

We’re a national nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and connection to brain injury survivors and their families. Through online support groups, educational resources, retreats, and a powerful podcast platform, we reach thousands of people navigating the brain injury journey.

    Why This Role Matters

Our message of hope is only as strong as the voice that carries it. As our Director of Communications & Voice, you’ll help shape how the world hears us - and how survivors find us. Your words, visuals, and strategy will inspire connection and amplify resilience.

    What You’ll Do
    • Lead content and messaging across social media, email, and our website

    • Create campaign calendars that align with our monthly themes

    • Guide and support our Hope Ambassadors (volunteer advocates)

    • Collaborate with podcast, program, and development teams

    • Help shape outreach for support groups, events, and donor campaigns

    • Track engagement and share simple updates to support growth

You’re a Great Fit If You:
    • Love telling authentic, mission-driven stories

    • Know your way around Canva, Flodesk/Mailchimp, or Instagram

    • Have experience in marketing, writing, digital content, or nonprofit comms

    • Value compassion, community, and inclusion

    • Are comfortable working independently with a collaborative heart

    What You’ll Gain
    • A platform to champion survivors and caregivers

    • Real leadership experience in a national nonprofit

    • Flexible, remote, purpose-driven work

    • Deep connection with a passionate, hopeful community
