    Description

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant Writer to support our fundraising team in identifying, reviewing, and preparing grant proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, be comfortable researching funding opportunities, and be passionate about advancing our mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies aligned with our mission.

    • Review grant guidelines, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.

    • Prepare compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials.

    • Maintain a calendar of application deadlines and reporting requirements.

    • Collaborate with leadership and program staff to gather relevant project information and budgets.

    • Track submitted applications and assist with follow-up correspondence.

    • Contribute to the development of templates, grant language libraries, and organizational boilerplate materials.

    Qualifications

    • Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.

    • Must have previous experience in grant writing.

    • Ability to understand and synthesize program goals and translate them into persuasive narratives.

    • Familiarity with grant databases, foundation directories, or online grant search tools is a plus.

    • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects
