    Description

Environmental Conservation Volunteering Project in Uganda

As an Environmental Conservation volunteer, you’ll help with ongoing conservation efforts to help preserve the environment and prevent the loss of species, and the destruction of ecosystems. The tasks vary but will mainly focus on tree nursery education, and developing initiatives that help efforts mitigate the effects of climate change and unsustainable practices.

Tasks involved in the Environmental Conservation project vary day-to-day, including:

      • Planting trees in new and established community centers including schools, local markets, and clinics throughout the village.
      • Community engagement by contributing to tree nursery construction and transplanting trees
      • Plan and conduct workshops alongside local placement staff, aimed at integrating environmental curriculum in schools.
      • Teaching the local community about practical environmental practices such as recycling

There may also be an opportunity to contribute to increasing community awareness regarding environmental concerns and advancing the ecological sustainability of Uganda.
