    Description

    The Friends of La Palma Library, a 501(c)3 organization, seek persons who want to help their community, support the library and volunteer their time in a friendly, positive environment. Through an ongoing book sale, the Friends of La Palma Library raise funds to help the library supplement its book and supply budgets as well as provide programs for the community.

    Particularly needed are:

    1.) individuals willing and able to be board members and

    2.) persons able to help process donated materials for the Friends book sale.

    Requirement for Board Members:

    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to work with variety of people
    • One year commitment
    • Ability to help sometimes with ongoing book sale
    • Computer skills helpful

    Requirements for General Friends Book Sale Team members:

    • Must be able to lift or push 10 1bs minimum
    • Receive donated items, alphabetize, and sort.
    • Enjoy organizing
    • Enjoy working with others toward a common goal
    • Computer skills helpful
    • Minimum commitment of 1 hour per week

    ****Note all volunters must be 21 years and older and must pass a background check prior to volunteering.
