Overview:

Are you passionate about environmental education and community engagement? OWL Outdoors is seeking a Marketing & Outreach Assistant to help spread awareness of our programs, events, and initiatives. This volunteer will play a crucial role in reaching schools, businesses, and families, ensuring more people can benefit from our educational and outdoor programs.

Responsibilities:

• Community Outreach: Contact schools, community centers, and local businesses to promote OWL Discovery programs and volunteer opportunities.
• Content Creation: Assist in developing engaging social media posts, flyers, and email campaigns.
• Event Promotion: Help advertise upcoming Kids Club activities, Adventure Hikes, and educational workshops.
• Partnership Development: Research potential partnerships with local organizations and businesses.
• General Marketing Support: Contribute creative ideas to enhance our outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Passion for environmental education and outdoor activities.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Experience in marketing, public relations, or community outreach (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram is a plus.
