Description
Location: Theater locations throughout Greater Boston
Volunteering requires compassion, communication skills, commitment and patience.
- Greet people; volunteers are the first BJF representative people see at our programs.
- Communicate with people in line as to when we will be seating, making sure they have their tickets/passes readily available, answer any questions about length of film, special guests, etc.
- Provide general festival and film info
- Assist people with special needs
- Scan patron tickets for theater entry
- Handing out Flyers, brochures, if needed, etc.
- Help latecomers to their seats
- Take pictures of intros, people in crowd, and special guest q&as
- Set up/Clean up for screenings and events
- Other tasks as assigned.
Perks: Volunteers can watch the film. You make your own schedule. Fun way to work with a great team and meet new people in the community.
