    Marketing INTERNS for social justice nonprofit!

    HONE YOUR MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS AT LOCAL AWARD-WINNING SOCIAL JUSTICE NONPROFIT!

    Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) is an East Bay human services and social justice organization that provides solutions to mass homelessness, mass incarceration, and community violence. We operate housing and service programs in Berkeley, Oakland, San Leandro and Hayward that serve 6,000 people every year.

    We are looking for someone to assist our Marketing & Communications Manager with marketing activities, including:

    • Writing blog posts for the website
    • Creating social media posts (@bossbayarea on FB, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, YouTube)
    • Researching issues relevant to BOSS' work for creating content
    • Contacting program staff to collect program & client stories for content
    • Assisting with community outreach and tabling events
    • Othre marketing/communications tasks as assigned

    TIMES ARE FLEXIBLE: The work is primarily remote, plus some regular in-person office time, occasionally visiting programs, and asissting with community events.
