    Description

    Folger Museum Docent

If you love California history and have an interest in historic preservation, you would make an excellent docent at the historic Folger Stable Museum. The museum, located within the working Folger Estate Stable and beautiful Wunderlich County Park in Woodside, CA highlights the history of the estate property and the importance of the horse in Western American culture. Docents in the museum greet visitors, point out areas of interest in the displays, answer questions, and share any insights they have to the facility or the history of the area. Volunteers will learn about a unique piece of local history, meet interesting people, and work in a beautiful location.

No experience is necessary and training is provided. Docents are asked to volunteer one Saturday or Sunday each month from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. There are also opportunities to lead special tours and participate in other events in the parks.
