    Description

    Candidate NEEDED: Qualified professional with bookkeeping awareness & heart to serve!

    Role: TREASURER

    The Treasurer shall monitor and oversee maintenance of the organization's financial records and ensure report that the Board of Directors regularly receives reports on the financial status of the organization. The Treasurer shall maintain a basic understanding of financial accounting for non-profit organizations.

    The Treasurer will oversee the keeping of a full and correct account of receipts, expenses, and deposits of the organization.

    The Treasurer will disperse the funds of the organization as may be ordered by the Board of Directors, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements, and must render to the President and the Board of Directors, whenever they may require it, an account of all their transactions as Treasurer and of the financial condition of the organization.

    The Treasurer additionally:

      • Serves on the Executive Committee
      • Serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee
      • Leads in developing and overseeing long and short-term financial strategy
      • Manages, with the Finance Committee, the Board’s review of and action related to the Board’s financial responsibilities
      • Works with the Executive Director and the Finance Committee to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board on a timely basis
      • Presents the Annual Budget to the Board for approval
      • Carries out special assignments as requested by the President
      • Participates as a vital part of the Board leadership
