    Description

Volunteer with the Community Hope Center – Choice Pantry

Neighbors in Action, Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Community Hope Center’s Choice Pantry!

We’re thrilled that you want to join us in supporting local families and individuals through essential services.

Here's what you need to know before signing up:

About Us The Community Hope Center supports families in need by providing food, baby essentials, housing resources, and ESOL programs.

Our Choice Pantry allows families to “shop” for items with dignity and support.

Volunteers are a critical part of how we make that happen!

Volunteer Opportunities We’re currently welcoming volunteers for the following roles:

    • Pantry Assistant – Distribute food items to guests; must be able to lift over 30 lbs.
    • Client Check-In Support – Use our software to check in clients, collect information, and schedule future appointments.
    • Check-Out Support – Weigh food items and input totals into our system.
    • Appointment Setter – Return client calls, set up appointments (Bilingual in English & Spanish required).
    • Administrative Support – Help with behind-the-scenes paperwork and coordination. Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially appreciated for client-facing roles.

Important Notes All volunteers must register through POINT and receive confirmation from our team.

Please do not show up unannounced.

For group inquiries please coordinate with our staff directly.

    • Volunteers must complete our waiver and view the orientation PowerPoint before arriving.
    • Must be able to lift over 30 lbs for certain pantry-related roles.
    • Volunteers must be 13 or older.
    • We are happy to provide Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for students.
    • Upcoming Needs We especially need extra hands this week on Tuesday and Thursday at the Choice Pantry. You can sign up for available shifts on POINT.
