    Grant Administrator

    ABOUT PROTECT US KIDS FOUNDATION (PUK)

    Protect Us Kids Foundation safeguards youth globally from exploitation by predators who use cyberspace as a tool for harm. Through education, awareness, and technology-driven solutions, we equip young people with the knowledge and resources to stay safe online. Our collaborative approach, including training, advocacy, and strategic partnerships, focuses on fostering secure digital environments and empowering communities to combat cybercrime

    THE ROLE

    The Grant Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth management, compliance, and reporting of grants that fund Protect Us Kids Foundation’s programs and initiatives. This position focuses on maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements while supporting the grant writing and reporting processes. The Grant Administrator will collaborate closely with program staff, leadership, and the Grant Writer to align grant management with the Foundation’s strategic goals.

    PUK’s programs address the unique needs of rural and under-resourced communities and align with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Current initiatives include:

    • Youth Life

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.Grant Management and Compliance:

      • Track and manage all grant deadlines, including applications, renewals, and reporting requirements.
      • Maintain organized records of funding sources, grant applications, and award documentation.
      • Ensure compliance with funder requirements, including reporting and use of funds.
      • Support the monitoring of grant budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to approved allocations.

    2.Reporting and Documentation:

      • Assist in preparing grant reports, providing accurate and timely information for funders.
      • Collaborate with program staff and leadership to gather data and insights for grant reporting.
      • Monitor progress and outcomes of funded programs to ensure alignment with grant objectives.

    3.Process Optimization and Support:

      • Work closely with the Grant Writer to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in grant applications and reporting.
      • Provide administrative support to program staff and leadership during the grant writing and reporting processes.
      • Recommend and implement improvements to grant management systems and tools.

    4.Research and Funder Relations:

      • Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a database of potential funders.
      • Liaise with funders to address inquiries and ensure clear communication throughout the grant lifecycle.
      • Support the cultivation of relationships with funding organizations to strengthen long-term partnerships.

    5.Collaboration and Team Engagement:

      • Work collaboratively with internal teams to understand program goals and align grant compliance efforts.
      • Provide regular updates to leadership on grant activities, challenges, and successes.
      • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance grant management skills.

    6.Special Projects:

      • Support other organizational projects and initiatives as assigned by PUK leadership.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    ·Proven experience in grant administration, nonprofit compliance, or related roles.

    ·Strong organizational and time management skills to track multiple deadlines and priorities.

    ·Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in managing records and documentation.

    ·Familiarity with grant reporting requirements and processes.

    ·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with grant management software is preferred.

    ·Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    ·A passion for PUK’s mission and commitment to supporting youth within under-resourced communities.

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    ·Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

    ·At least 2-3 years of experience in grant administration, nonprofit operations, or fundraising.

    ·Familiarity with nonprofit compliance and reporting requirements is preferred.

    ·Experience with data analysis or financial reporting is a plus.

    ESTIMATED TIME COMMITMENT

    ·Flexible schedule with an estimated time commitment of 8-12 hours per week, depending on grant deadlines and organizational needs.
