    Description

    We have recently constructed the first ever women's shelter with all of the necessary services to enable women to regain self-esteem, safety, dignity and, above all, have access to justice.

    Our mission is to protect the most vulnerable and those needing legal, medical and psychological support; to empower women and youth to advocate against violence through human rights education, awareness and advocacy, as well as to provide them with skills and information to strengthen their capacities and visibility in society.

    There is an opportunity for an intern to work on this flagship project having a large impact of the future of the shelter The position will have two main responsibilities:

    The position will have three main responsibilities:

    Research and project planning 50%

    The intern will facilitate the start of this project by initially conducting research into similar projects that have taken place as initiatives across the world. The second area of research will be to work with WORI and the local community to highlight the key factors that are needed within this project. Building upon this the intern will then use the research to start developing a in depth project plan.

    Fundraising 50%

    Locating and applying to grants, creating online fundraising and presence, working with team on proposals.
