About Us
Remineralize the Earth (RTE) is a Northampton, MA-based 501c(3) nonprofit organization.
Remineralization utilizes finely ground rock dust and sea-based minerals to restore soils and forests, produce higher yields and more nutritious food, and store carbon in soils to stabilize the climate. Through our education and outreach, projects, research, and advocacy, Remineralize the Earth facilitates a worldwide movement that brings together gardeners and farmers, scientists and policymakers, and the public to create better soils, better food, and a better planet.
About the position
We are excited to add one more person to our IT team, which is currently creating a new website. The ideal candidate should be a backend developer who has substantial experience and understanding of building WordPress websites and PHP, in addition to site migration, hosting, plugins and database. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial.
You would be working with a team of developers and designers to build a new website over the next 3-6 months. The website is a large undertaking with several components including, but not limited to, news, blog, and feature articles, the only online Research Database dedicated to remineralization and enhanced rock weathering, and a Resource Directory. As such, candidates should have experience with WordPress plugins.
We are looking for applicants based in the US and/or Canada.
