NAAAP New York is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all-volunteer, Pan-Asian American professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through professional development, community service, and social events. We are the founding chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), with a history dating back to 1982.
About the role:
The Vice President of Operations is a senior executive position on the NAAAP New York Chapter board working directly with the President and Executive Vice President.Having oversight of internal operations with associated authority, the VP of Operations involves a senior capacity towards providing leadership and executive stewardship (i.e. ensuring operational effectiveness, addressing operational gaps and, organizational troubleshooting).Although Committee Directors are responsible for managing and ongoing implementation of their specific portfolios, the Vice President of Operations is critical to the success of an integrated approach of all committee portfolios by ensuring that progress is on track with diligent monitoring and coordination.
As Vice President of Operations, you will:
·Provide senior leadership support to VPs to achieve strategic and operational goals.
·Coordinate organizational resources with all VP’s
·Act as internal liaison for the President and EVP
·Act as ambassador with constituents, media, corporations and other non-profits organizations as needed
·Oversee the activities of VPs to help maximize operating efficiency & potential
·Provide high level strategic support to programs and Programming
·Assist with chairing executive board meetings
·Collaborate with VPs and Directors to successfully execute programs and Programming
·Report directly to President and EVP
