    Description

    Drive Bloodworks vehicle to and from sites in response to Transportation dispatcher directives. Provide reliable and responsible transportation of licensed blood components and related products and testing samples on a limited time commitment basis.

    Responsiblities

    • Make timely pick up runs and deliveries from centers to labs on a limited time commitment basis.

    ·Ensure routine deliveries of blood components from scheduled sites as dispatched

    ·Perform courier duties where the use of a paid courier is not, based on existing cost structures, a reasonable financial alternative.

    ·Adhere to all safety policies

    ·Transport patient samples and licensed blood components between Bloodworks locations and hospitals normally performed by contract services.

    ·Maintain an accurate and complete log of all shipments handled; recording time and date, pickup and delivery locations, number of shipping items handled.

    ·Performing as back up for local, regional or shuttle courier when no paid courier is available or willing to fill an open shift.

    ·Inspect vehicle and report malfunctions at each shift - fill w/ gas when ½ empty

    Qualifications

    ·Must have valid WA State Driver’s license for a minimum of three years (must be 21 or older)

    ·Must meet Minimum MVR Standards required by Bloodworks

    • Ability to follow directions to site and read a map.

    ·Vehicle operational certificate completion with updates according to policy

    ·4hour detailed defensive driving and safety training course

    ·Bloodborne Pathogen Training

    • Safe, courteous, reliable and punctual
