    Position: Social Media Volunteer

    Organization: Fabretto Children’s Foundation

    Location: Remote (USA)

    Duration: June - August 2025, with possibility to extend based on performance

    Fabretto Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization working to empower underserved children in Central America to learn and thrive. Please visit our website (http://www.fabretto.org) to learn more about us.

    Purpose:

    We are currently recruiting a Social Media Volunteer to work with Fabretto’s fully remote team. The volunteer will support the creation and organization of digital content, including photos, videos, and text for posts. The volunteer will help develop, implement, and track social media campaigns on Fabretto’s platforms. The volunteer will also monitor key data from each social media platform to optimize campaigns.

    This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a nonprofit organization focused on international education this summer and gain experience with social media and nonprofit communications.

    Details:

    Requested commitment of 5-10 hours per week. The candidate will be able to set a schedule based on availability. The candidate will need to maintain regular communication with Fabretto staff.

    These are Fabretto’s main platforms:

    Tasks include:

    • Help Fabretto to generate content for our main social media channels, including static posts and reels.
    • Support in organize, classify, and centralize all audiovisual materials (photos and videos) of the organization to facilitate their search, access, and efficient use.
    • Contributing to the monthly and weekly content calendars.
    • Scheduling social media posts.
    • Engaging on social media channels (liking, following, commenting on other posts).
    • Tracking user engagement on our platforms and making recommendations.

    Desired qualifications:

    1. Interest and belief in Fabretto’s mission.
    2. Experience with managing social media channels for a business or nonprofit organization, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
    3. Interest in and awareness of social media trends.
    4. Graphic design skills and basic video editing skills (able to create reels).
    5. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
    6. Native English speaker with excellent writing skills and attention to detail in proofreading.

    Optional

    1. Fluency in Spanish (not required, but a big plus!)
    2. Experience living or working in Central America.

    Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position. Fabretto is happy to work with the volunteer to document the experience as needed.
