    Description

    Physical Activity Facilitator

Help our residents stay active, healthy, and happy.

Our Physical Activity Facilitator/Movement Guide would have the freedom to work with residents and experiment to design a program that works for them. Many residents use mobility devices of various kinds and others have balance concerns, so an approach would need to be well-suited for those seated and standing. Gentle Tai Chi, Qi Gong, yoga, dance, resistance bands, etc. are all welcome. Sessions would last approximately 45 minutes but duration could be tailored to residents' needs as you learn more about the group.

Groups would be small, fewer than 10 people, so you'd get to know everyone. There are some wonderful personalities here! The indoor community space is limited, but we have a large outdoor deck that can also be used when weather permits.

This program could be weekly or bi-weekly. It can be at any time between 9:00 and 4:00, but late morning to early afternoon is preferred. Very few people would attend before 11:00am. A regular, set schedule would be best for residents.

Instructor certification in one or more of the techniques or styles listed above in preferred.

Ability to speak Cantonese would be a big plus.
