    Description

    You will play a critical role in driving impactful advocacy initiatives to promote online safety and safeguard digital liberties, both within the United States and internationally. Collaborating closely with the management team, you will identify strategic opportunities to advance COSL’s mission, design persuasive campaigns, and engage diverse audiences, policymakers, and influencers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify advocacy opportunities aligned with COSL’s goals.
    • Research, plan, and execute targeted campaigns, utilizing social media, petitions, open letters, blogs, submissions, and coordinated direct outreach.
    • Conduct virtual meetings with decision-makers, policymakers, influencers, and coalition partners to advocate COSL's positions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.
    • Stay abreast of relevant U.S. and international news, legislation, policy debates, and developments related to online safety, digital liberties, and censorship.
    • Provide timely updates and strategic recommendations based on emerging global developments.
    • Support translation and localization of advocacy materials for global audiences.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong passion for digital rights, freedom of expression, and online safety.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build networks and effectively engage stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with social media campaign management, advocacy tools, and digital organizing.
    • Comfort with collaborative international environments and cross-cultural communication.

    Location: Remote

    Commitment: Part-time, volunteer (estimated 5-10 hours/week).
