Description
Volunteers will prepare formulas, diets, and supplements for animals at the Wildlife Center.
Diet Prep Specialists are expected to complete a minimum of three 2-hour shifts per month, year-round. Those interested will also be required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation and a Diet Prep Training Class.
NWR's current COVID-19 policy requires all volunteers working around the animals (including transporters) to be COVID vaccinated with a vaccine/booster that has been received within the last 12 months. We have this policy due to certain species of wild animals we get in, like bobcats & mustelids, that can contract and die from COVID-19.
Volunteers must be over the age of 18.
