    Description

Join the Senior Medicare Patrol and Empower Seniors

Are you tired of seeing seniors get scammed? You can become an advocate for seniors in your own community. SMP volunteers receive training on the basics of Medicare fraud, and other healthcare scams to conduct short presentations to senior groups in their own community. We provide scripts on many different fraud topics for volunteers to use as a guide, as well as flyers and giveaways. Volunteers are also provided materials for help with community events such as health fairs and senior expos to spread awareness about the SMP program.

Volunteering for SMP is flexible and is done on an as-needed basis. It’s the perfect opportunity for retirees! It is also a great opportunity for couples to volunteer together! Team up to help Louisiana's seniors prevent, detect, and report Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse.

The Louisiana SMP is a federal grant program through the Administration for Community Living. In Louisiana, SMP is sponsored by AdviseWell, Inc. with corporate offices in New Orleans, LA. For more information, please contact Sunny Lawless at 877-272-8720 or visit www.stopmedicarefraud.org.
