    Description

    Volunteer · Remote · Bi-weekly · ~1–2 hrs/week

Unsafe Mode is a new podcast from The AI Risk Network (which launches on YouTube on 7/16/25), created for moms and dads trying to understand what runaway AI means for their families. Every other week, we record a roughly 60-minute conversation about something AI is making families deal, from deepfakes to social media, from the future of school to the future of work, all of it affects families directly.

We’re looking for a parent who is gravely concerned about AI extinction risk and wants to help more families wake up to what’s coming. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who cares deeply and can speak clearly, calmly, and honestly on mic. Our team will help the hosts book guests and plan show topics.

John Sherman, the Peabody Award winning host of For Humanity: An AI Risk Podcast and President of The AI Risk Network, is Executive Producer of Unsafe Mode, and will personally mentor the hosts, working maximize the impact of our shows. Unsafe Mode will have more than 200k YouTube subscribers on episode #1, because For Humanity the YouTube channel will be rebranded and transformed into The AI Risk Network on 7/16/25.

The AI Risk Network's production team will handle all the production, from sending our hosts camera/light/monitor/mic set-ups to all post-production. All our hosts have to do is some planning and show up and join the conversation.
