    Bloodworks Ambassador for Stop the Bleed!

    Please read below to check that you qualify to be a STOP THE BLEED instructor.

    Work collaboratively with Bloodworks on offering Stop the Bleed training and Blood Donation recruitment at community partner events.

    The Stop the Bleed Ambassador will work with the cross-departmental team charged with development and oversight of this new project. This team includes leaders from our medical, community engagement and volunteer management groups. Some of the requirements and tasks include:

    • Full understanding of Stop the Bleed program
    • Provide feedback to all stakeholders about the program
    • Meet with all team members routinely to assess progress and goals
    • Proficient in the understanding of blood collection and donation as a critical community need

    Qualifications:

    • Experience presenting topics related to public health, medical and/or blood collection or as an educator. Students enrolled in a medical program may be considered based on experience.
    • Meet requirements to qualify for STOP THE BLEED(r) instructor training.
    • Ability to present to a diverse audience and make adaptions to meet specific needs of the group
    • Ability to manage scheduling commitments, communicate with all relevant parties and represent Bloodworks in a professional manner
    • Public speaking experience (highly desired)
    • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
    • Ability to deliver program material via Zoom as well as in-person at school and community group locations.
    Requirements for Stop The Bleed Instructors:

    HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL

    Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Correctional Officer, Certified Lifeguard, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Dentist (DMD/DDS), Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (DC), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), EMR, Medical Doctor (MD), Military Medic/Corpsman, Non-Clinical Injury Prevention Coordinator, Nurse Practitioner (NP), Nurse (RN/LPN/LVN), Occupational Therapist (OT), Paramedic, Physical Therapist (PT), Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph), Respiratory Therapist (RT), Ski Patrol, Sworn Law Enforcement Officer, TCCC/TECCC Instructor

    NON-HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL

    Individuals under this category must complete and pass the online Interactive STOP THE BLEED (r) Course in addition to completing a full STOP THE BLEED (r) course prior to applying.

    • American Heart Association CPR/BLS Instructor, American Red Cross CPR Instructor, American Red Cross First Aid Instructor, National Safety Council trainer/instructor, OSHA Safety Instructor, Certified Health Teacher, Organization Safety and Health Instructors, FEMA Certified trainer, Wilderness First Responder Instructor
