    Description

Chefs feature your Best Heart Healthy Recipes for Young People on Chad's Monthly Food Forum!

    Hello,

The Chad Foundation for Athletes and Artists has provided 10,000 heart screenings (Echocardiograms and Ekgs) to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death in Young Athletes. Our new focus is a "Heart-Healthy Living Program for the Young through Diet, Exercise, and Monthly tips from Cardiologists, Fitness, and Nutrition Professionals/Chefs/Food Journalists." Topics will include Heart Education, lifestyle changes, heart-healthy menus, youth and family exercise programs, preventive heart screenings, warning signs, and risk factors in the young.

As Heart Healthy Living starts at home, Chad will showcase recipes/diets created and overseen by expert Dieticians/Nutritionists, High School Culinary Arts Programs, and created by top Heart-Healthy Chefs, Culinary and High School Culinary Arts Programs, featuring a Monthly Heart-Healthy Recipe. Dieticians/Nutritionists will be instrumental in guiding our Heart Healthy Advisory Board and creating practical guidelines for heart-healthy recipes/diets for parents and young people.

Our namesake, Chad Alan Butrum, was only 26 years old when he died of "Sudden Cardiac in Young Athletes," while playing football with no history of heart problems. He lived his life caring about the health and welfare of all people, regardless of age, orientation, or heritage-"Healthy Body, Mind, and Spirit." Chad never drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes, or did drugs his entire life. He loved sports and eating good food. His non-profit foundation is founded on the values he lived by so that others may live long, healthy lives and achieve their greatest dreams.

Your expertise can help instill a heart-healthy lifestyle now in our youth and for their future generations. Please include in your response what interests you most about our "Heart-Healthy Program for Young People," if you'd be interested in speaking on our proposed monthly Zoom chats, and include a resume or CV. We look forward to hearing from you, Chefs! Thank you in advance for sharing your expertise and talents to inspire and show young people how to nourish and energize their bodies, minds, and spirits with the best, tastiest, natural food possible!
