Make a Difference After School - Become a Homework Tutor at Saint Paul Public Library!
Do you love learning and want to inspire the next generation of students? Join us as a Homework Center Tutor and help create a welcoming space where young people can grow, thrive, and succeed.
At our Homework Centers, students of all ages drop in for support with assignments across every subject. As a volunteer tutor, you’ll:
·Help them prioritize tasks and celebrate small wins along the way.
·Guide students to understand concepts and build strong skills.
·Create a warm, encouraging environment where learning feels possible.
·Be a positive role model who inspires independence and confidence.
You don’t need to be an expert in every subject-what matters most is patience, encouragement, and a willingness to help. Each week, you’ll see firsthand the impact of your time: a student mastering a tough math problem, finding joy in reading, or gaining the confidence to tackle homework on their own.
Sun Ray Library Homework Center Hours:
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-7:00 pm
Commitment: We ask for a minimum commitment of 2-3 hours a week.
Hundreds of students count on the Homework Centers each year-be part of their success story!
